Office and car locked, house secured, taxi ordered, boarding card printed, final cleanup in progress, now relaxing and trying to find sleep before the 2:45am wakeup call …
Doomsday I am coming!
My Life is ‘Boxed’
Today I boxed my ‘life’ for the rest of this year. Everything for the next 7 weeks has to fit into a 90l duffel bag and what I can carry on my bike and in my Camelbak each day.
In two days from now I am already in the air westward bound to Costa Rica.
Guatemala – Earthquake
Tour d’ Afrique office informed us about the situation in Guatemala after yesterday’s earthquake.
Earthquake Update
“It would appear that the recent earthquake in Guatemala may affect our route. We are currently gathering information on the conditions and will let you know as soon as we can what the issues may be and what changes, if any, need to be made.”
Hopefully the situation will stabilize and improve, both for the people in the concerned areas and for our tour planning.

Only 3 weeks left until we meet in San Jose / Costa Rica to start into this exciting cycling adventure through 5 Central American countries.
